Proposed Learning Journey - ZoomInfo

Leaders at ZoomInfo must navigate the changes that accompany strong growth and at the same time, traverse a cultural shift in the most substantial and fundamental ways we perceive and understand work.

Leaders will learn to understand and empathize with how humans react to change, and then leverage step-by-step change management methodologies. A humanistic and process-based approach leads to more successful and productive work, stronger staff morale, and the satisfaction that comes with personal growth.

“Lack of Growth is the #1 reason people quit their jobs.”

Solution and Workshops

Audience: Gravity Learning will deliver a series of growth-oriented change management workshops for ZoomInfo Senior Leaders and People Managers.

Between Workshops: Attendees will be supported with peer-to-peer work, focused real-world assignments, optional 1-on-1 coaching, and dripped content--all designed to increase on-the-job application.

Content Note: While the general workshop outlines below will remain consistent for both audiences, content and delivery will pivot slightly. For example, senior leadership will focus on how to cascade these skills to leaders under them, while people managers will focus on successfully “playing the middleman”.

Below, we've recommended a 4-workshop series followed by a 5th "presentation" session.

Workshop Duration: 2hrs each, ideally 1 week apart
Additional Commitment:
~90 minutes weekly, for real-world application and peer meetings
Delivery: live, hands-on, remote delivery (in-person is available)
Number of Attendees: Approximately 15 per session. Rate is inclusive of up to 20.  Current target: 50-100 total attendees.

SESSION 1: THE PSYCHOLOGY OF CHANGE

All humans fear and resist change, especially when the change is not up to them. In this fascinating session, we explore the psychology behind how we respond to change and what leaders can do to cultivate resilience.

KNOWLEDGE AREAS AND SKILLS:

The neuroscience behind why humans resist change

How leaders unintentionally sabotage change initiatives

Leveraging the “change cycle” to inform empathetic behavior

How to get people unstuck when they’re not feeling flexible

SESSION 2: ANNOUNCING CHANGE

We all understand the importance of initial messaging. But, how do you craft a change announcement that will land well with different types of people, that will reduce fear, that will motivate and reassure? In this hands-on, game changing session, we’ll build and practice step-by-step tools you can use to confidently start things off on the right foot.

KNOWLEDGE AREAS AND SKILLS:

Appropriately leverage “the why” for different personality types

How to write change emails people will actually read

Announcing sensitive or difficult change in a way that reduces fear

The power of over-communication and the “no-update update”

SESSION 3: PLANNING FOR CHANGE

Successful change initiatives are like icebergs in that most of the substance is below the surface. Here, we take a step-by-step approach to change planning specifically designed to address the things we normally don’t think about.

KNOWLEDGE AREAS AND SKILLS:

Avoid resistance by planning for humans being human: ego, fear, and self-worth

Planning for key contributions – controlling the need to control

Professional risk management – mitigate trouble before it becomes trouble

The 3 steps of creating training plans that work

SESSION 4: SUPPORTING CHANGE

Now that the change initiative has started, how do you keep people secure and motivated? How do you differentiate between resistance and confusion? How do you avoid burnout and get teams ready for the next change? Good questions, right?

These techniques are game changers.

KNOWLEDGE AREAS AND SKILLS GAINED:

The fallacy of “trial by fire”

Utilizing the herd mentality to get people moving

Gracefully managing resistance

Keep teams going by supporting the top 2 human emotional needs

SESSION 5: CHANGE HOW ZOOMINFO CHANGES

Attendees will give a short presentation designed to cement skills and create permanent change around the way ZoomInfo manages change. Leaders and other major stakeholders are welcome.

ATTENDEES WILL CHOOSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Present a Plan:

Attendees will present an “Executive Summary” of how they will leverage change management structures to implement a specific upcoming change.
- OR -
Present a Proposal:

Attendees will propose an org-level process change, innovation, or initiative inspired by this learning series.

Special Sauce: Our Extended Learning Model

Our methods result in an average of 180% better learning.

We’ve all experienced “feel good” training that didn’t make a significant difference. Gravity Learning courses leverage research that leads to real impact.

We back it up with a satisfaction guarantee.

Download the Extended Learning Support Model to see how we get 180% better learning results.

Special Sauce #2: Evaluation that Proves Learning

Bank on it.

Learning will be evaluated to prove effectiveness all the way to ROI.

All workshops measure:

  • Reaction: What is the initial response to the learning?
  • Learning: Did learners learn anything?
  • Behavior: Did learners take action?
  • Results: Did the action make an impact?
  • ROI: Did the learning make sense in dollars and cents?

Our ROI calculator helps you to predict what sort of results you'll need to make training worth it.

Remember to consider cascading benefits. A manager who saves herself 5 minutes may save a team an hour.
