Leading Through Change And Ambiguity

Target Audience : Managers and Above

Change on teams is fluid and constant. Sometimes everyone knows a change is coming, but it’s difficult to predict change when even leaders don’t know what the future will look like.

People have a natural resistance to change and react in strange ways during times of ambiguity. As managers and leaders, how do we understand the psychology of change and ambiguity, so we best know how to introduce and support teams through it?

In this session, we leverage the structure of professional change management and the psychology of how humans react to significant change and ambiguity. You’ll be able to confidently prepare for, announce, and support everyday change even when that change is “there’s no change, yet”.

  • Understanding the psychology of how humans react to change and ambiguity

  • The ability to confidently apply research supported methodologies to announce & support change

  • How to support teams and set expectations through times of ambiguity

"Really engaging instructor. Gave us action plans on how to communicate changes to our team better. Wish we had this training months ago. Would like another training from them! This time investment made me feel like R1 is dedicated to educating employees on best practices.

It was also great to hear how people in different teams/roles are navigating the same changes in our department. This training provided us with the tools to have a more uniform communication strategy across our teams so each analyst feels supported."
